Accomplishments: O'Neill won the 50 freestyle against Cherry Hill East in 24.81 seconds, less than a tenth of a second off the school record. She also finished second to teammate Allison Rolish in the 100 free and swam on the winning 200 medley and 200 free relays.

Comments: "Swimming has never been my strongest sport, but I made a commitment to myself this year to be the best I could be," said O'Neill, who also plays soccer and lacrosse. "I'm really excited about the way I'm swimming now. My first goal was to go under 25.50, then it was 25.25, then 25.0. I'm a competitive person. If I know I can beat someone and they beat me, I'm not happy. I just keep working harder."
